FALL CLEANING
I got up early this morning and started on my fall clean up. I took all my canisters and decorative stuff out on my back deck. Fall is a great time to redecorate and do a massive clean up. Since moving here to this little cottage house I have had to downsize considerably. I have so much stuff packed up in storage and in boxes. Simplicity is the way to go when living in a very small place. nd you have to make the most of the space you do have. This morning I took an old metal cabinet out of the kitchen and set it out in my laundry room /summer porch and I decided to turn it into a pantry, I don't know why I didn't do this eariler. Its a great idea I put my boxed food and cans and jars of jelly my pots and pans and my ele.appliances I dont use a lot now my kitchen is looking a lot better and less cluttered.
We moved here to the cottage house last year, it is around 80 years old and in need of repair. We have been working on it as we go. I want to keep the primitive charm by leaving the old sink and old cabinets and original windows and french doors. We have been working this month on building a wall in Dereks room and I put tiles in the summer porch/laundry room. We also took up the old carpet out of the living room. We had to replace the shower/bath faucets and then the water heater messed up. So we have been busy. I'm gonna take some pics and put them on here of the house and all my animals,(that will take a week!..ha ha) well I'm gonna go back to work now I'm gonna bake bread this eve.
